Safety
Safety is of course paramount; our rallies are by no means a race.
Just like the old fable of the hare and the tortoise you do not need to be fast to get to your destination, whether you are up front or enjoying the scenery, being safe and alert must come first.
You are volunteering to take part in an Endurance Ride, this is not a Sunday bimble this will be a hardcore event, you may be cold and wet, you will be exhausted You are responsible for yourself and your machine we take no responsibility and will distance ourselves if your conduct brings us or motorcycling into disrepute in any way, shape or form.
Endurance riding is not like nipping out for a ride, you will be spending hours in the saddle, we can not prepare you for the ride, you must ensure you are fit enough to stay alert and arrive safely. That means you and your machine must be in good working order, it’s not worth starting with a badly maintained bike, or clothing that is not up to the extremes of temperature and weather that we may have to face.
Advice on all aspects of endurance riding can be asked for and found on our forum xrv.org.uk you do not have to subscribe or pay for the forum to ask questions or share your expertise with others.
THELONGESTDAY rally can not accept any responsibility for riders or machines.
We encourage all to wear the HiViz vest we have had commissioned for the ride, please visit our Merchandise area
