The Route:
This route takes in some the most scenic roads the UK. The entire route is in the north of Scotland. The start/finish are the same place, Strathpeffer. You will leave Strathpeffer at sun rise, heading north to John O’Groats following the coast around to Durness continuing on to Ullapool, passing through Inverness heading for the CairnGorm mountain range.

You will loop around the CairnGorm’s, over the highest classified road in the UK (A93) heading to Pitlochry.
After Pitlochry head up the A9 before, using the A86 past Loch Laggan to Spean Bridge. Head north to Invergarry where you head west to Kyle of Lochalsh, before heading back to Strathpeffer.
The Total Milage is about 650Miles.
If you believe this too much, you can continue up the north side of Loch Ness, taking almost 50Miles off the route, There are other parts of the route you can cut out to reduce the mileage, The shortest route is about 470Miles, but you will be missing out on some wonderful roads and scenery.
